Steiner | Douglas Construction, Inc. served as the general contractor for this completed 69-unit affordable housing development located at 10705 S Avalon Blvd in South Los Angeles. Built to address the region’s urgent need for high-quality affordable housing, the five-story structure delivers a mix of studio and one-bedroom units, including designated low- and moderate-income units under the TOC Tier 3 guidelines.

The scope of work included full site development, extensive utility coordination, and the ground-up construction of a Type IIIA residential building. The completed project features ground-floor community and service spaces, accessible units, secure long- and short-term bicycle parking, and large rooftop landscaped open space designed to promote resident well-being and amazing LA skyline views.

Situated in a transit-rich neighborhood near local services, schools, and employment centers, the project enhances both housing access and neighborhood vitality. Steiner | DOUGLAS successfully managed construction across all trades, maintaining schedule and budget discipline while ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to City of Los Angeles codes and approvals.
